Cookie Policy

Last updated 1 June 2026

You will have noticed there is no cookie banner on this site. That is not an oversight. We do not set anything that requires consent, so there is nothing to ask you about.

This page was written for a demonstration site and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If you add analytics or advertising to this site, this page stops being true and you will need a consent banner.

What we store

Two things, both strictly necessary under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive:

startegys-theme (local storage)

Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. Set only if you click the theme toggle. Contains the literal text “light” or “dark” and nothing else. Persists until you clear your browser storage. It never leaves your device and we never see it.

startegys_inbox (cookie)

The session for our internal team inbox at /inbox. Set only after a member of our staff signs in, and only ever on their machine. It is httpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, expires after seven days, and contains a signed token identifying the staff member. If you are not a Startegys employee you will never receive this cookie.

What we deliberately do not use

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom. We do not measure you.
  • No advertising pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Google Ads remarketing tag.
  • No session recording or heatmaps. Nothing watches your cursor.
  • No embedded third-party content that tracks. No YouTube embeds, no social widgets, no chat bubbles.
  • No fonts fetched from Google’s servers. Our typefaces are self-hosted at build time, so loading this page sends your IP address to nobody but our host.

An honest note

We are a marketing agency that builds tracking for clients. It would be reasonable to expect our own site to be instrumented to the eyeballs. We decided that if we cannot make the argument for a piece of tracking on our own site, we should not be able to make it on yours. If we ever do add analytics, this page changes first and a consent banner appears with it.

Controlling storage

Every browser lets you clear and block cookies and local storage in its settings. Blocking ours costs you the theme preference and, if you work here, the ability to sign in to the inbox. Nothing else on the site depends on storage.
